Corey Hogan Billboard
This is a campaign by Energy United

Calgary’s only Liberal MP, Corey Hogan, is now the Parliamentary Secretary for Energy and Natural Resources.

That’s a big deal — especially in a government that’s spent years making life harder for Alberta’s oil and gas workers.

With this critical position, we want to push him to stand up for Calgary.

Here Are Four Things Corey Hogan Can Do Right Now:

1. Scrap the Oil & Gas Emissions Cap

This cap is really a cap on Alberta’s economy. It’s designed to block our growth — while other countries cash in. Kill the cap, protect Calgary jobs.

2. Fix the Broken Project Approvals Process

Bill C-69 is a disaster. Even the Supreme Court says so. It’s time for clear, fair approvals that let good projects get built.

3. Stop the Power Grid Overreach

The Clean Electricity Regulations are unrealistic and unaffordable for Alberta. They’ll drive up bills and risk blackouts. They need to go.

4. End the Tanker Ban on Alberta Oil

Right now, Alberta oil can’t reach global markets — thanks to a tanker ban that doesn’t apply to other countries. It’s unfair and needs to be repealed.

Corey Hogan - Stand up for Calgary
Dear MP Hogan,

Congratulations on your appointment as Parliamentary Secretary for Energy and Natural Resources. I urge you to use this role to stand up for Calgary’s energy workers, families, and businesses.

Right now, Ottawa is advancing policies that would do serious harm to Alberta’s economy:

An emissions cap on oil and gas that will limit production and kill jobs.

A broken approvals process (Bill C-69) that drives away investment and prevents projects from being built.

Clean Electricity Regulations that risk higher costs and grid instability in Alberta.

A West Coast tanker ban that keeps our oil landlocked and sold at a discount.

Calgary needs a strong and growing natural gas and oil industry – and so does Canada.

I urge your government to repeal these policies and stand up for Alberta jobs.
