I’m writing today to voice my support for Independent schools, and Independent Education in Alberta. At a time when classrooms are getting more and more complex, and cost savings are top of mind for all Albertans - we need to ensure that we are growing the choice, not taking it away.

Independent schools are a deeply integrated part of publicly funded education in Alberta. They help address complexity, save taxpayer money, and provide more options for families and students.

Whether it's more support for disabilities, faith based education, language-based, sports, or music based education. Independent schools protect the rights of Albertan families to find the right fit for their kids.

Getting rid of independent schools won’t fix our education system. Growing the choice will.
